I think anything bigger than 1ct would look too big in my opinion, especially with the halo setting.

1.5 because it is a cushion and they can face up smaller than rounds. 2 is probably too big.

I think it also depends on your finger ring size.  Have you tried on different carat sizes in a store?  It would really help you make a decision on how it looks on your own hand πŸ™‚  It was really helpful seeing the carat sizes on my hand to see what I liked.  Below is a finger coverage chart that can help.  It’s not to tell you what to get though- it’s still completely your choice πŸ™‚

    I have a size 5 finger and a 1 carat Amora Moissanite πŸ™‚

    Hope that helps πŸ™‚

depends on the size of the finger i think! i have little sausage fingers so smaller carats looks weird.

Personally, I’d go with the 1ct size. But then again, I’m biased and that is what I have! I was never a large ring person, I am a 7.5. I think it does matter what size your fingers are as well. Ultimately you get to decide though πŸ™‚

I voted for the 2ct, but that is just a personal preference. I say you go for whatever you are leaning towards and what you think looks good on your finger. I definitely think it is important for you to go try different sizes on in person. I NEVER thought I would be a fan of the larger center stones because I never wore big jewelry, but I went and tried different sizes on and fell in love with the 2.5-3ct center stones. Moral of the story, it is very hard to choose what you like until it is on your finger.

I’m sorry he was not taking you seriously :/  That was quite rude of him not to want to show you what you asked to see.  I am also young I suppose (21) but all the jewelers I’ve met with have been quite kind and hospitable, thank goodness.

The ring you pictured looks like the halo is quite delicate and would not overpower a 1 carat.   I think a 1 carat in a halo on a size 5.5 ring size would look lovely πŸ™‚

Partially it depends on if you want to pretend it’s a diamond.  (I’m not trying to start a war, but that is what a lot of people do).  If you want to pass it off as a diamond go smaller.  If you want to explain to people that it is a lab made stone then go larger.
