I wasn’t crazy about the idea of a heart-shaped stone, but I fell in love with my ring because my Fiance designed it and it was his mother’s stone.

Juvenile? I think the word “beautiful” is a much better description of the stone above, which is the diamond my husband purchased for me to have set in my *dream ring* that he’s currently working with WhiteFlash on.

To anyone who says heart shaped diamonds are juvenile, I would ask, when was the last time you saw any child – ever – walking around wearing one? Because I never have. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Look, people like the shape they like. The heart has always been my favorite cut. It’s my personal opinion that the heart shape in general is timeless and can be worn at any age. How many of you have Tiffany-style heart tag bracelets? I see jewelry like that worn by women spanning many different age brackets. Heart shaped lockets, heart motif in ering settings, etc. The old lady in Titanic had a heart shaped blue diamond pendant (maybe she threw it into the ocean because she realized she’s waaaaay too old to be wearing something so childish, lol ;).

Yes, heart cut diamonds get an insanely bad rep. If I had to guess, it’s because there are some truly awful looking heart cuts out there. Both myself and my husband encountered a few really hideous specimens on our stone hunt. The same could be said of any other diamond shape, though.

I say whatever makes you happy, whatever you dream of, go for it – regardless of popular opinion.

I never get how certain shapes can go in or out of style. I can see how certain settings could, but the shape of a stone being unfashionable seems so odd to me.

@Chrysoberyl:  OK….you blatantly called the shape “juvenile”. A shape that many Bees on here have and/or love. I personally didn’t take offense, I was merely giving my opinion…

@Chrysoberyl:  Thank you!  I was worried it would not work well with my weding band but it’s perfect.  I wear the ring “upside down” so that it is as flush as possible to the wedding ring.  If you look, you can find some really lovely heart shaped rings.

@Chrysoberyl:  I thought I was the only one who felt like that. Although, I find some of the bee’s rings on here beautiful.
