missfroggy:  Thank you πŸ™‚ Feeling pretty excited right now! I have always loved your ring. My first choice was getting the oval in Bridal Party, but couldn’t for a few different reasons… But I’m hoping if I set my Moissy in rose gold, it *might* make it look pinker haha!

Elylovesred:  thank you I am so happy I found moissanite I was able to get the big rock with the right clarity for cheap. I wish I went bigger but I did not want for it to look to gaudy. I can tell you I wish I went with the cushion cut instead of the round cut but overall I am happy with the stone it beautiful my jeweler did a great job!

Elylovesred:  I love love love mine! I was a bit aprehensive of the non-enhanced vs the FB or amora but I can honestly say I love it! It /is/ different than the FB but mine isn’t “moody” the way that some moissy can be. It’s always just crazy dazzle monster white. I’m not versed in moissy enough to know if it’s because of the cut or I lucked out with this particular stone, but I don’t regret not getting the FB.

I always wanted a square or princess cut and I am very very pleased with the result. On moissy I like the square over the princess- the table is different and I like the way that square cuts look over princess. You can end up with the “pie” slices, where when you look straight down at the table you can see the facets of the cuts but I love the sparkles in it from that. It wouldn’t be for everyone though definitely!

Pros of the shape: It “tucks” nicely in my fingers. I wear gloves for work and I was a bit worried it would tear the gloves, but the square shape is so smooth on the edges that it’s fine.

The stone looks also bigger than it is. Because of the shape the bulk of the carats are near the table so it looks bigger.

Cons: It can look crooked if your band isn’t straight across your finger.

Hope that helps πŸ™‚

Elylovesred:  Thank you! πŸ™‚ That’s one reason why fiancé and I loved it so much – it’s simple. I do love the size on my finger, but sometimes I wonder what a 2mm would look like (mine is 1.5mm)

Elylovesred:  Thanks! Here are some more shots of the setting. It’s from Moissanite Co. It’s the “Daisy” antique reproduction in yellow gold.

above is an image from the website, showing the detail better. This comes in white gold too and they offer a matching wedding band! I love the little flower details on it!

2ndchance:  Ah yes! That was an old picture. I still have TONS of Jams, but find that I prefer to apply my gel polish.

  • Wedding: Don\'t have one yet, any suggestions?

All those rings are stunning I’ve been thinking about turning in my diamond cluster for a moissionite but I don’t know where to go to buy one. Any suggestions?
