The ring pose..you know what I mean, the traditional bride’s hand over the groom’s hand to get the ring shot. Or the ring laying on the invitation or the bride and groom holding them up looking through them. So…I’m sure there are different and unique ways to get the traditional shot of the rings. Do you have an example to share?

How about the rings on the heel of the bride’s shoes? Or the rings in some sort of dry food like candy? Those are just my ideas, but I’ve seen so many different and original poses on photographer’s blogs and websites.

i personally like the bride holding her hand out like she’s showing it to her best friend….

Our photog did one with his hand on my face like he was going to kiss me and my hand reached up to his. Some people loved it, I hated it because I could not stop laughing on how cheesy it was while being taken. Look through the gallery on here, I know I have seen some really good ones on there!

Here’s a unique one by one of my favorite photographers, Ryan Brenizer. You have to have a sense of humor for it, though!
Seriously, there are some pretty good ideas on flickr.

Our photographer shot ours on the backcountry book we were using for our Glacier honeymoon and on my bouquet. We all forgot to do ring shots on the day, so we met with her at a coffee shop the next day to get them. It totally makes me laugh, because no one would ever have any idea that we were in a little book/coffee shop instead of at the wedding the way the shots are done!

Oh wow, I have SUCH a weakness for ring shots…I started saving a ton of them — on figurines, with food in the shot, etc. — into my Picasa months before I even started blogging. I love the idea of using fruit or candy, or a favorite book/CD/album as the backdrop.

@miss sweets-aren’t those shoes so cute? I love them too! Unfortunately, I am not sure where the bride got them 🙁 Here is another ring pose I found that I love:

I also love when the rings are taken in flowers and with the brides bouquet!

OH how I love the rings on the heels… *sigh* our photog did bouquet pics, invite, and program… I think I might take some more myself with all these great ideas 🙂

the ring in the bible thing is well used….i never do that, partly because you always have rings sitting on a paragraph describing doom and gloom and evil and stuff lol….
rings + shoes, glass surfaces, just be creative…put them all over….take the shots….
