About 5-6 months, I’m not 100% sure when he actually got the ring from the jeweler. He was planning to do it sooner but a bunch of stuff kept messing up his plans. It was 100% worth the wait!

My DH proposed 5 months after he had purchased the ring and it was in his possession.

Fiance was waiting for Christmas, so the ring came in almost a month before. He flat out told me he had it, and it was sort of hard waiting. Whenever we talked and wedding stuff, we’d remind each other we weren’t officially engaged yet. That got old quick lol.

I didn’t know it at the time, but he purchased the ring about 2 weeks before he proposed. The ring was hidden in our then apt during the 2 weeks and I stood next to it several times and had no clue.

Well, we decided to get married and then he  went out and bought it next  day and gave it  to me when he got home , so I guess , in answer to the original question,   about an hour lol.

It was very a modest ring ,not at all a traditional  engagement ring as befitted our ‘style’ lol at the time , plus we were saving to travel.

I’ve said it boringly often before , but I have no understanding  at all of why a man would buy an engagement ring that the woman knows he has and really wants to be given  and then keeps  hidden in a drawer or something. It is outside my comprehension entirely .  Even if she doesn’t know he has it , why keep it from her?

My SO has had the ring for probably about 3 months now and still waiting.. hopefully shouldn’t be more than another 3 months! Just keep reminding yourself that once this time is over, you will be engaged!

Fiance had the ring two months before he proposed. Ring was finished 7/22 and he proposed on 9/23. One of my BM’s is recently engaged and her Fiance proposed about three weeks or so after he went ring shopping with her mom, so like PP’s said it really could be any time. Just relax and try not to think about it. Easier said than done though, I know!!

We picked up my ring today and I just want to die! I’m so excited to officially wear it and I just want to take all the photos of it, so he humored me and let me just wear it home from the jewelers. Then I handed it over to him and he wants to plan a surprise in the next few weeks! He knows not to stretch it out too far because I’m so damn excited I may kill him if it takes months lol. Plus it’s not a surprise, so there’s really no need for a long wait.
