If you like it and your SO’s cool with it, no, it’s not too soon.

I agree with what others have said; if you like it and DH is giving you the green light, forge ahead! Also, it’s not weird for you to contribute as long as that works for the two of you! There is no right way to do it!

@ninjachc:  Of course, the important thing is what you like. Everyone should smile when they look at their e-ring/ wedding ring.

I love the first of the sets that you’re considering!  I also don’t think it’s weird at all for you to pay for part of the set if you’re both ok with that approach.

I also have a place holder e ring until I make up my mind, I’m so indecisive! I’m also recently married so I think if you can afford it go for it! 🙂

Also I think first one is prettier, it’ll look mice on you!

I totally understand!! I initially went with an inexpensive meant-for-fashion ring and had to change set. The stone, smoky quartz, got scratched from daily wear, the tiny prongs kept getting loose, and the white gold yellowed so fast. I had to change it all. Went with diamonds in platinum…center stone held by 10 prongs, haha. I still wear the first ring on my right hand on a night out. I also had to change the already-purchased straight wedding band for a trade-in contour band. I looooooove my new set and am so glad I went that way!!
