Just joined the board because I am recently engaged! Wanted to get some gals’ opinions on my ring. Top pic is final design, bottom pic is the original. My boyfriend proposed to me with a 50s style ring that his mom got from her mother. The diamonds in the ring have been in the family for 200 years. It was a brooch originally that got made into a ring that no one actually wore. I liked the design but didn’t love the way it was set. A couple of the diamonds were so small that it looked like they’d fallen out. Anyway! Went to get it redone, basically only the middle diamond made it into the new ring and the rest were replaced with new stones. The diamonds from the original ring we’ll use to make something for the Mother-In-Law. I went with rose gold because i just loved how it looked on my skin. I decided to keep the original design because i thought it was quite original and I don’t see many like it. I’m scared to ask for opinions because I’ve seen a lot of people hate cluster rings. And rose gold. But I really love it and the fact that it remains an heirloom and keeps the vintage style from the original ring my boyfriend proposed with. I’d love to hear what you think! But please be gentle, I’m a baby.

I love the story behind it and that you kept it an heirloom ring. It’s very pretty and the rose gold pops on your skin tone and the milgrain brings a soft elegance to it. Executed beautifully 🙂

It’s amazing! I felt bad for a minute, because of the order you had the rings, I thought the white gold/platinum was the redesign. The original is also pretty, but the redesign is amazing!

It’s so lovely! It is somehow seems modern and vintage at the same time. I really think it’s perfect. Also it reminds me of a pizza which can only be a good thing.

Congratulations on your engagement! ❤️
Stunning, bee- I LOVE the rose gold, and the new setting. It was brilliant to add the milgrain.
Ive never seen a ring like that 😍 and the history behind it makes it so meaningful.

Oh my goodness, that is beautiful! I LOVE the rose gold. And such a unique but stunning design.
I like that the diamonds are nicely spaced out. I usually don’t like cluster rings because I don’t like the look of a bunch of tiny diamonds bunched together super closely. But yours isn’t that at all, it’s a beautiful design and really lets each individual diamond stand out, especially as it’s contrasted with the rose gold. Love it!

Congratulations on your engagement!! Your ring is gorgeous! I love it. I am a big fan of rose gold, and I love how you kept the parts of the original design that you loved while creating a beautiful update. I like how your ring has a vintage feel, but also kind of a modern feel. And the story behind it is beautiful.

Thank you everyone so much for your kind comments! I’m glowing. I know I shouldn’t worry about what others might think but I really was scared I was making every kind of misstep with my ring. For anyone curious, Diamond Boi did the new design. I really love it now.
