bee52 :  i’m sorry to hear about your un ideal situation! I was in a similar situation with deciding my metal, but ended up choosing the rose gold over the platinum, as i didnt want to “stay safe”.

I know this isnt the perfect solution as you mentioned expense as one of the problems, but could you re-set your e-ring and also get the rose gold Embrace ring? cause i dont think it would look too much even when stacked!

Please keep us updated with what you decide to do with it xx

I know the struggle we recently upgraded my rings and I am opposite mine is micro pave very nice scott kay set but I wish in a way I had gone with the plain solitaire and band instead of all the diamonds in micro pave..

I love my platinum so I would keepthat just not all the micro pave

Does your ering setting have to have the knife edge? I know that’s a Tiffany tradmarked thing but if you’re getting the setting changed, why not go wholehog and have them create a rose gold ering with a comfort edge band that would be a closer match to your wedding ring?

I’d have a hard time changing the wedding ring, too, since you used it for your vows and wedding. But I do like the idea of them using the platinum to create a small band you can wear between your other two rings- how about a small (1mm) band with a few tiny diamonds on it? I’ve got a spacer like that and I LOVE it- it provides some sparkle but still gives me the overall crisp look that I wanted and fell in love with.

I would just add the embrace ring but that’s also because I’m very sentimental and couldn’t change it. I think your set now is beautiful.

I would leave it alone. Just get the other ring for the other hand when you can afford it.

I love my ring.  I had a rose gold band with my platinum ring but ended up getting a matching band soldered to it.  Here are the two different pictures.

Is there a chance you coukd have your current ring plated in rose gold? I think it would be nearly the same upkeep as a rhodium dipping for white gold?

If I were you… And plating it wasnt an option.. Id choose to reset.

Yes we had to because my other ring was damaged and never looked right again:( I love my new set just sometimes it doesn’t feel like me I am a jeans and t shirt girl and the micro pave sometimes feels a tad dressy for me dont get me wrong I love it but  ugh I don’t know I guess it’s the newness of it maybe we just had it re set and appraised a about 2 months ago I still have my original diamond im hanging on to that it has alot of sentimental value 😍😍

I think that you are doing the right thing by adding to it instead of changing it all hugs and keep us updated!!

I love ms penny’s idea its temporary although I wonder if it would work plating platinum with gold although it seems like a happy medium and if it would not damage the ring at least you could see if that is the change you want to make or just keep replating it..
