bee52 :  Tiffany won’t customize the setting for you, you’d only be able to reset it in one of the other settings they already offer. Or get it altered by another jeweler but that voids your Tiffany warranty.

I’d leave it as-is. It’s a beautiful set and platinum is such a classic for their solitaire (but then again, I have a platinum Tiffany solitaire so I’m not biased at all…!). As PPs mentioned, you can add a rose gold stacker of some kind down the line. That’ll probably be easiest (and cheapest) compared to all the resets and such.

bee52 :  your rings sit together better than I thought they would. I would personally reset the solitaire in rose gold. I’m not a fan of white metal rings, though. I think rose gold is beautiful enough in its own right…coupled with a beautiful stone and wow…what a ring 🙂 you could get the white metal reset as an in-between stacking band between the two rose gold rings OR get pave diamond set into it and create more bling for your stack!

I think the platinum looks amazing with your skin tone and would stick with that.

For what it’s worth, I think your ring is gorgeous on your hand! It is timeless and classic and I do love your wedding band with it.  I kind of did the opposite of what you did and had my diamond set in a rose gold band as I’ve always had platinum/white gold and really wanted rose gold for this one. I find I really like wearing my white gold wedding band with it. I like the contrast. And my rings don’t sit flush either – there is a very small gap in between due to my engagement ring’s head sticking out a little. I might reset it someday but hubby is hoping I won’t.  Lol.

I actually love your set the way it is. Looks beautiful on you.

How about give yourself another few months and think about your options around anniversary? Maybe by that time you will get used to it the way it is?

bee52 :  since you cannot wear engagement ring all the time anyhow, and you love the rose gold of your plain band (which looks just perfect on your hand alone), but are missing the sparkle, how about getting anniversary band with stones set so that you could wear it daily and also matching with your plain band? Then you would maintain original and sentimental set as it is, and yet still get what you want. Or wear your plain band alone on the left hand, and a sparkly band as your right hand ring (which is what I do).

bee52 :  I actually don’t wear the rose gold anymore since I got the entire band soldered to the ring.  So it’s the matching set that I wear now.  I just bought the band off amazon.  The matching band i had made by David Klass

bee52 :  the “gap” is really negligible. I have the same ering, you really don’t notice it. I wouldn’t sweat that. I would get the rose gold like you originally wanted. It’s nice they’re offering to reset it for you and melt metals…, I’ve never heard of them doing that. It’s normally just an exchange if anything.
