I would try the sizing beads before making a change to the size.

Sizing beads are a great option of you’re on the fence! They’re super cheap, easy to remove, you don’t have to worry about what sizing might do to the pave on your bands. If you’re unsure I’d say do the size beads. You can always have your ring resized after you’re done having kids.

mirandahewson:  My finger size did change in pregnancy, except mine went down, not up.  I went from a 4 to a 3.  Could you look at another ring that may not have such an issue with sizing?

mirandahewson:  I don’t think that style can be resized. Sounds like even if it could, the sizing balls would still be a good option if you’re concerned about your finger size changing.

mirandahewson:  Do they bother you at all? I’m thinking about getting them because my e-ring spins around all the time and my wedding band is a full eternity band and is too big but can’t be resized (the woman at the jewelry convinced me to go with a bigger size than I was comfortable with – stupid me).

mirandahewson:  I think you should just get them sized. My old e-ring was a size 7 when I bought it. I’m a size 3.75. It had a pave band and my jeweller was able to size it down from 7 to 3.75! I’m sure a half size is a piece of cake to size even if it had diamonds on the side.

I have a 7 month old and my finger size never changed. it was the same size as before the pregnancy. The only time it didn’t fit was when I was 6 months pregnant to 1 month postpartum because I was still swelling. I took my rings off during that time and wore a stand-in ring. Eventually your size will go back to normal.

Oh and to add, sizing beads might be a bit uncomfortable….especially when you put pressure on your ring. My mom told me that The beads push into your finger you will be left with painful indents on your finger ๐Ÿ™ ouch!

mirandahewson:  there are other options other than the sizing beads, like the horse shoes or this which I’m guessing will be less painful than the beads.
