I am looking to revamp my engagement ring, I am just not sure which direction to go. My marquis ring is shaped more along the lines of a Moval stone which I absolutely love but it is a rare center stone with very limited inspiration photos. I have narrowed down my options and would like to see what other people think. The first choice is all out bling but I’m worried the halo will make my already large ring look gaudy on my small stubby finger, second option has the trillian side stones, third is actually a moval center stone with Asher cut side stone which I thought was very unique, lastly the east to west slightly trendy setting that I’m worried will appear dated quickly. Let me know what you think and yes you can be brutally honest!

I like top right out of those options you posted

I was going to suggest baguettes but thought it was just my bias as thats what i have – but seeing this….it works!
do you already have a wedding band to consider when you restyle?

I love the top right (with the trillion side stones).
I also think something like this would be lovely…

booksybee : I’m not really a marquis girl, but that’s amazing. I vote this!

booksybee : Gorgeous!!!
OP, Obviously I vote for booksybee’s example as #1 🙂 Second is the top right example with trillions.

I’m just like everyone else. Top right with trillions. Timeless and classic.

Yep, trillions. What an amazing stone! I love the cut and the warm color! Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

KKJohnson : its yellow so if you want it looking whiter do a blue sapphire halo. Even if you don’t it will still look nice. If it’s misshapen in any way the halo can make it look more symmetrical too

I saw this a few months ago and fell in love. Your stone is stunning and would look amazeballs in this type of setting 😍

booksybee : wow that is a unique setting! Even how the prongs are done is unlike anything I have seen below! Thank you for the inspiration!
