I know it needs a good cleaning. 😐
Doesn’t look too high to me 🙂 your rings are beautiful. Are you finding that your ring is catching on things a lot ???
It’s hard to tell from the picture. Your ring is definitely beautiful, but it looks like it may be a little vulnerable to catching.
I don’t think so, I have a princess cut as well and it’s about the same height. Do they bother you and catch on things or do you bang it into things? All your rings are beautiful and imo the perfect height!
Beautiful stack! Setting height is a matter of personal taste. It’s hard to say from the blurry pics, but this setting looks a bit high for me. However, I prefer low to medium height settings to avoid catching, banging, damage, etc. I also feel super high settings can make a ring look “costume-y” and less cohesive. All that matters is that you are comfortable with the height. But if you find your ring snagging on things, getting banged, etc., you might want to consider a lower setting. GL!
Thanks for the replies! I’ll try to get better pics this evening. There is a story behind this ring. Took it to KAY jewelers and it came back damaged. The diamonds were cracked and crushed! They tried to play it of and I freaked. Crying and in total shock that my ring was ruined. When my husband proposed to me 21 years ago all he could afford was a little promise ring which I lived he could have given me a ring pop and I would have loved it even more. 20 years later he worked his ass off helping a friend build his house plus 55hrs a week at his weekly job and bought this ring for me. I was so emotional when he gave it to me. But anyhow the manager at KAY’s offered to replace the head with a slightly larger setting which is nice and allow me to keep the damaged head but the ring Wont be the same as it was when he gave it to me but I agreed. And this is how it came back setting is quite a bit higher and he says that there is no way to lower it. Don’t get me wrong I was happy that it was replaced and hate to seem picky or to be a complainer but I’m scared to wear it because I’m afraid of snagging or hitting it on something and either damaging or losing the head. It’s been almost a year and I haven’t worn it😢I just wanted MY ring.
I want you to be able to wear your ring. It’s been a year! I would take it to a local jeweler that has a good reputation and see what they say. Your husband worked so hard to get you this ring and I want you to enjoy it. Good luck and keep us posted!
Definitely take it to a reputable local jeweler – one who has a bench on-site. (Meaning they have a person on staff who does all of their work instead of sending it out somewhere.) Do your research and read reviews – you can typically weed out the fake reviews or “revenge” reviews to help determine if the jeweler is good or not.
