I am so excited! SO and I went ring shopping yesterday. We were both unsure of whether or not I should have input, but after he went the first time by himself he thought it would be a really good idea to go together. There are just so many options and I don’t really wear jewelry, so he had little clue as to where to start. It turned out way better than I expected. We found we both liked vintage settings and tiny rubies on the sides. We picked 2 different settings and a stone and he’ll go back later to pick which one. He also joked that he realizes how impatient I am, so he won’t make me wait too much longer.

@sweet5k: Aww that sounds so sweet. I’m glad you guys found the ring you were looking for. My Darling Husband and I also went ring shopping together. Thank goodness we did, depsite all our years together, he still doesn’t know my design aesthetic. Post a pic when he proposes!

So when we got home from ring shopping he took the little card they gave him with all the info about the stone and settings and put it on his dresser where it sat. Then this morning when I woke up it was gone and he texted to say he’ll be home from work a little late. I’m very excited, but I know there was a decent amount of customization that was going to be done to either of the settings. The jeweler explained that they would make a new ring with a that model that he would see and approve first, then make the actual setting. How long does this process usually take?
