Yes go up.  You shouldn’t have a muffin top from your ring.  It’s too tight.

I would definitely go up a quarter of a size too. Ring muffin top is unattrative and uncomfortable. My ring is actually half a size larger than what the jeweler measured my finger to be, and i don’t have any problems with it being too loose. Plus it will feel a big more snug when you have a wedding band on there too.

If you already have a mini-muffin top on your finger, I’d go ahead and size up. Especially since it’s winter now, it’ll get even tighter in the summer.

Agreed, it will fit different with a band and in the summer.  I’d get you size measured again, with no muffin top and try on something in that size with a band.

I am having the same issue! I just got my engagement ring resized to a size 6. Now I am thinking it was not a good idea. 🙁 When I was in the store the “trial” size ring seemed to fit perfect. But now it is feeling way too tight and slightly muffin topped like you are saying. Should I go have it resized?
