Hello all! I was wondering if by changing your ring size if that makes your center stone look larger on your finger? I am asking because my ring is sized at a 5 currently, but it probably needs to go down to a 4.5 (it slides around a lot).
Does this make the stone look larger? Or am I thinking too much into it.

My ring was a size 6 when I got it (size ordering mistake!), and I got it resized to a 5 tight. I don’t think I noticed a size difference in the center stone.

@Cory_loves_this_girl: Gotcha. I was just curious. It isn’t a huge size difference and I wasn’t sure. 🙂

I was a 5 and went down to a 4.5. It didnt change the appearance of the stone, because although the ring itself was smaller, my finger stayed the same. The finger/stone ratio is what makes the stone look the size it does, not the band around it.

Your finger is still the same size, the sized down band won’t make your stone look any bigger. sorry.

no it won’t help. It won’t even prevent your ring from spinning if it spins. I had mine sized down from 5 to 4.5 and no change in how it looked and it still spins since it’s top heavy. It’s just harder to get off now.
