I need advice! I got engaged Dec 25th with a ring that fit perfectly (size 7). In fact, when I am REALLY cold, it is even a bit loose (not enough I would have it fall off, but it spins). Anyways, cue this week where it went from spring to summer in a flash. My ring is now so tight that it is leaving deep marks in my finger, I can barely take it off and when I do, the marks take close to an hour to go away. I am fairly sure it has to be resized, but I am not entirely sure what to do. Should I size it (and my wedding band) up and wear one of those plastic fitter things inside the rings in the winter? Any other suggestions about how to survive the next few hot months with my ring finger still intact?

@takemyhand: Didn’t edit, but wanted to add that the ring likely needs to be sized up as much as 7.75 for it to fit nicely, 7.5 to fit snugly.

I say size it up to 7.5/7.75 and get sizing balls added in so it will still fit well when it’s cold!

I’d probably go up only half a size, because it spins a lot when it’s cold.

I would only go up a .5 size at the most. I would not go up .75….it might be too big.

I have the same problem. My finger size changes a lot between seasons! I would probably go up a half or quarter size, but nothing more. If it fit fine in the winter, a half size will definitely make it spin, which is annoying. I had mine sized so that it fits pretty snug right now, but will still be a little loose in the winter.
