So, I recently got my wedding band and in my excitement have been wearing it around the house (I’m not the only one who does this, right?!) I have noticed that when I wear my ering and wedding band together, my normally loose Rings are snug and when my fingers swell it’s uncomfortably tight. So my question to you is… is it worth it to only size my wedding band .25 of a size? Has anyone else done this?

mccabetobee: yeah, so I’m technically a size 9 ring, but sometimes my fingers do swell quite a bit. So I got my ring in a 9.25, and when my finger swells my ring fits perfectly. When my finger isn’t swollen, my ring is a tad loose, but not so much that it’s annoying or uncomfortable.

Size up, especially if you swell in the summer! Before I wore a wedding band my ering was sized at a 6. Now that I wear both rings together my wedding band is 6.25 and the ering is a 6.5. You’d be surprised how much more snug two rings fit over one.

Yes, definitely size that baby up! Uncomfortable tight rings are the worst.

mccabetobee: I agree with PPs. It’s best to size up, especially if you tend to swell throughout the day or in warmer weather. I can’t stand for my rings to be tight. I know it sounds nuts, but I feel like they are choking me if they are too tight on my fingers. I’m really weird in that I like to feel them slidng around on my finger (but not enough to actually slide off).
Some of my rings are about a size too large because I have lost weight. And for wider rings, I will often go a half size up. Otherwise, a quarter size.

Thank you all for the replies, I think I am definitely going to get the band sized up!
longtimemrs: that’s not wierd! My finger is a size 4 and I purposely got a size 4.25 so it would be a little loose. Great advice on the width of the band for sizing guidance. My wedding band is only 1.5mm so I think I’ll go with .25. Thank you : )

I am a size 5 in hot weather and 4.75 in the cold. I HATE when my rings spin so I got my set sized to a 5, soldered together, and added in 1/4 sizing beads. There’s no spinning now and it’s not uncomfortably tight in the heat either since the sizing beads are so tiny. I recommend it!

I have my WB a little looser since it is worn behind my ER and no chance of it slipping off when it is behind my ER. I have this weird thing about ring sizes and I hate them being too tight at all, so I have the bad habit of wearing them on the loose side and have to be careful especially when it is really cold and my fingers shrink.
