Jewlery exchange?

If you don’t trust someone to take your ring out of your sight, you shouldn’t be trusting them to mess with your ring at all.  A good jeweler should take no less than a few days to resize a simple ring.

Don’t go to the mall, check out yelp and find a good local jeweler and go to them.  When you voice your concerns, a good business owner should then take the time to show you how to identify your own diamonds (if they are certified, they will have a laser inscription or if they have an inclusion, he can show you that) so that you feel comfortable and safe leaving your ring for a little while.  He will insist that you look at your identifing mark under the microscope before you drop it off and before you pay when you pick it up.

Jared does it too. I’m not sure if they have it in all locations though so I’d check out your local store and see if they have it.

For my resizing, we went to a very trusted well known jeweler, and paid for the “rush” service. So it took a 1/2 hour and we stayed in the store browsing until it was ready. We figured they would not have enough time to do any funnybusiness with my ring.
