IMO, it’s weird. That’s your wedding band and you haven’t yet had the wedding. But lots of women wear a stand in ring if their engagement ring is off ring cleaned or whatever, so do you! 🙂

Whatever you decide, I hope your engagement ring is back to you soon!

Yeah, I wouldn’t wear the wedding band.  Safe it for the wedding, and it will be more special then.  Just get a cheap stand in for while your ering is away.

Yeah I wouldn’t wear your wedding band. It would just take all the sentimentality out of it for me. Have you looked for cheapy stand in rings?

Nope. Wouldn’t wear it. To me the wedding band is a symbol of union in marriage. Wearing it as a stand in ring defeats the purpose of its existence 🙂

i guess no harm going ringless while waiting for your E ring fixed? Or do you have any other ring that may fit your ring finger as a stand in?

Personally, I wouldn’t wear mine until the wedding. I agree with PP that a stand in ring may be a good option for you to explore, you can get pretty cute CZ ones from a lot of places nowadays and so many different styles to play with! But really it all comes down to what you feel comfortable doing until you get your ering back!

I woulnd’t wear it just because I feel like that would make it seem less special. But I have no problem with you wearing it if you want! Another alternative is that many bees have a “stand-in” ring for times when theirs is at the jewler, or they are traveling someplace and don’t want to wear their ring, etc. You might look into getting a cheapy stand-in ring while yours is being fixed. I bought one from Berricle for like $30, and it made me happy to have a ring to wear while I waited to get mine back when I had to send it off for a bit.

Not weird at all. My ring is currently out for repairs (getting the prongs retipped). I’ve thought about getting a stand in ring or buying my wedding band early to be able to wear it.

Do whatever you want 🙂

Get a cheapy stand in if your don’t like the feel of your naked finger. Keep your wedding band special for your wedding day.

megrays :  I think it depends on you and the significance/meaning that you draw from your ring. I don’t plan to have separate rings – I’m getting an engagement ring and will use that at the wedding too. I haven’t decided yet if I’ll wear it all the time while engaged or keep it. It’s not going to look like a traditional engagement or wedding ring. My mum did the same thing – got a ring as an engagement ring, wore it, used it at the wedding, and nearly 40 years later still just has that ring.

When I sent my ering in for repairs for a few weeks, I went to http://www.berricle.com and found an inexpensive version of it.  Helped my finger not feel naked. I don’t think I’d feel right wearing the wedding band before the wedding, though.
