I spoke to my jeweler today and he says that if I switch to a 2 carat it won’t be a huge difference in regards to height because a 2 carat will still sit high and it is just the way my ring is designed. Unfortunately he can’t sink the setting in further because of the design of my head as shown below. So, now to decide if I bother switching it, even if it is a minimal change, or leave it.
If I switch, I can get a nicer H&A colorless stone. Preferably F color, where as my current is a near colorless H. I originally chose it though because my diamond side stones are H color.
Decisions! Thanks again for all the help!!

I think it looks great. I’ve had 8mm and now a 9mm too, and it’s such a small difference really, I wouldn’t do anything yet. Live with it a while. It’ll grow on you. 😉

Looks perfect to me! I have a 4.5 carat amora gem, so I may be biased 😉

I think it is beautiful, tasteful and not at all gaudy.

I think your ring is beautiful and the proportion of your center stone to your side stones looks really good. I do think it might be worthwhile to try on a 2 carat (maybe order a berricle version that you can play with and really test drive it).
My 8mm sapphire suits me perfectly and lands right in my personal sweet spot whereas my 9mm moissanite does feel too large for me on a daily basis, but I love it when I want to feel like I’ve got some Bling! Blam! Pow! going on on my hand.
The challenge, too, is if there is any kind of time limit to being able to swap out your current stone for a different one, which adds an element of pressure to the decision making process.
Again- it’s gorgeous on your hand and your entire set does look really beautiful.
