Ring turning around

Your ring is too big. Yes insertion of the sizing balls can help, you can also get temporary ring “snuggies” little plastic things that wrap around your ring band to make it smaller / fill in the gaps – but long term you may want to look at getting it properly measured and resized.

meggyleg23 :  my ring spins when it’s cold and it irrated me no end! I used the coil/spring plastic thing for a few months but that was quite annoying when it got muck under it and was very bulky. I had the sizing beads inserted a few months back after getting my wedding ring (I thought 2 rings might help with the spinning due to thicker on my finger but it didn’t) and I love the sizing beads! So comfortable I don’t realise they are there and means my ring never gets stuck on my finger which was the worry in sizing down as my size fluctuates quite a lot with warm and cold.

You probably need it to be resized slightly. If your hands swell in the warmer months I would consider getting one of the plastic ring snuggies for the time being and waiting until it’s warmer to get sized. I sized mine down .25 and it helped tremendously.

I have the sizing beads.  They help tremendously with the ring spinning problem.  They’re not uncomfortable, I don’t notice them at all.

Probably too late for you now, but for others who want to stop this from happening who are still in pre-production, you can request a euro-shank, which is flat on the bottom. When my ER was just by itself, it still did a bit of twirling action, but now that it’s with the wedding band, spinning is pretty uncommon.

My ering is top heavy and used to spin a bit (sometimes all the way around) but know that I’ve added my wedding band it doesn’t spin at all and I have to say that I a) miss this and b) will have to size it up 1/4 of a size as it feels a tad to snug for my personal taste. And that’s the point. It’s a matter of taste. I see people wearing rings so snug that it pains me to look at it. But I’ve also seen people wearing ring so loose i had to wonder how they are not loosing them.

meggyleg23 :  This happens to mine but it doesn’t really bother me, my fingers swell easily in the heat or from eating something salty, so I need the extra room. I would rather my ring spin a bit and be comfortable then get it sized down and be too tight, especially when I swell.

meggyleg23 :  Does it always spin? Or just during cold weather?

My ring is properly sized but during cold months and after I wash my hands my ring spins. But it fits the rest of the time so it would be pointless to get it resized.

If it always spins I would definitely look into going down a size or so.

My engagement ring turns around like there’s no tomorrow right now. Haha . I have big knuckles so there’s no option to go a size down for me. But I make it no problem and I tend to feel strained if something is too tight on my body.
