Is this where the rings are passed from guest to guest?  I would guess each guest would hold them for just a few seconds – not 10 – maybe 3

I’m thinking 3-4 for men and 5-6 for women- we all know the women are gonna be checking out the ring ๐Ÿ™‚

that makes sense!  The one I saw had the rings in tiny little bags with no way to see them.  Everyone held them for a second or two and then passed them.

I did what you are planning to do and it was a bit awkward. Guests were put on the spot because everyone was looking at whomever had the rings at that moment, and as the bride and groom, we were just kinda standing there with nothing to do. We ended up straight chatting with our guests during the ring warming ceremony, cracking jokes and otherwise being ourselves. It wasn’t bad, per se, but it wasn’t the reverent moment I was hoping for. So you may want to give this idea a bit more thought. If I could get a do-over, I would have the rings passed during the early part of our ceremony so that they were ready for us when we were ready for them.
