No. Why would you?

Just have the wedding without one. The best man can hold the rings for you guys.

Um what? You would really postpone the whole wedding for this…?

fiona1992:  that seems pretty insignificant. Why would you postpone? Unless you are looking for a reason to?

fiona1992:  a groomsman can hold the rings, I would never postpone a wedding for that reason….even if a ring bearer is what you always imagined, it’s such an insignificant detail it doesn’t matter at the end of the day. Your focus should be your marriage.

Definitely. The marriage isn’t legally valid without a ring bearer.

Yep. No ring bearer – no wedding.

Ok do you see how silly that sounded?

fiona1992:  If you postpone the wedding every time something tiny changes or goes wrong you’ll never get married.

Can’t say I’d ever consider postponing a wedding for something like that.

Any reason a young girl couldn’t do it? Or a dog?

Depends.  If you’re more invested in having a wedding rather than a marriage, then yes, postpone it.  Indefinitely.

fiona1992:  You would really postpone marrying the love of your life because you want any random little boy to just stand there? If I were your fiance I’d be offended that you care more about that than marrying me. Maid/Matron of Honor and Best Man can hold your rings.

Put an ad on Craigslist requesting the services of a little boy for a few — on second thought nm.

Seriously? You are not ready for marriage if you would even entertain this thought.

ETA Having read your other threads, I repeat- You are not ready for marriage.
