Yeah, this is insane.  You may have dreamed about it (????) but it will be just fine without one.  And how are you just going to find a boy to carry them for you??  This is crazy, yes.

No. You don’t need a ring bearer. The best man can hold onto the rings for you. We didn’t have one and we got on just fine.

This is absurd and a huge overreaction. No one postpones a wedding because they don’t have a little boy to walk the rings down. Besides, if you have truly dreamed of having a ring bearer (which again seems absurd to me), you surely must know of another family with a small boy who would be willing to have him walk down the aisle? There isn’t a shortage of people with children.

fiona1992:  Everything you post seems like a joke. Just saying.

Anyway. No. Just have a wedding without one.

fiona1992:  some of these people are horroble. Disregard there disrespectful comments. By The Way,  I say do what YOU want. I personally wouldn’t postpone, but I would ask around.  Do you have friends who have children??

Postpone it until… a friend has a child? Until you can make a new “child friend”? Until you make  new friends who have a little boy?  I mean… are you serious?

Why are they horrible? She asked for opinions, and they gave theirs. She posted this publicly after all!

Honestly this really sounds like a joke account; her other threads seem pretty silly as well. (I’m sorry if thats not the case)

Also you are getting married in 4 months. Not sure what kind of venue or services you have booked for your wedding but you can’t exactly easily just move your wedding date. If I moved my date I’d be out easily $3000 + and it’s still over a year away. How is postponing over a ring bearer even an option?

Is this a joke? No, you shouldn’t postpone your entire wedding because the ringbearer backed out. Can you not get another ringbearer? Or maybe just don’t have one. I personally would not schedule a wedding around my friend’s schedule. If they don’t come…they don’t come. Remember a wedding is just a party, your marriage is going to be more important. Have you thought of eloping?
