That ring is actually really pretty! About 10 years ago my Mother-In-Law gave me a huge cameo ring, it’s way too small for me and I’ve never worn it. Not at all my taste, I would live to give it back so that she can give it to someone who will enjoy it, but I havent found a tasteful way to mention it to her.

This ring my aunt (and mom kind of) gave me was my great grandmother’s ring. When she and my great grandfather had a diner and that diner started doing well, she bought herself a necklace, earrings and a ring. Now all the girls in my family have a piece of the set. I don’t wear it often, it’s a little big for me and I don’t wear rings a lot in general, but on days when I feel like I need a little extra luck or grandma strength, I’ll swap out my engagement ring for it.
