mrsparis :  I always support wearing exaclty what you want! I might do a double take if I saw someone wearring identical style e-rings on boths hands …. mostly because I love looking at rings haha but it would get my attention. It depends on how you feel about that.

I think if they’ve exactly the same I’d think it a bit odd, mainly because it seems a waste of a finger lol (I have a big collection of right hand rings and love being able the chop and and change, and Wear something different from my wedding centre (I have a diamond cluster engagement ring and most of my RHRs are solitaires in different shapes/sizes/stones)). But if they’re different (even just a different size for eg), why not? Your wedding set will also look difficult as it will be a band as well as the engagement ring, whereas your engagement ring will presumably stand alone.

mrsparis :  Have you thought about getting an enhancer or wrap instead of a whole new ring?  Then you could have the sentiment of the engagement ring and make it look more dressed up when you want it to be more dressed up.

I wear these two. One on each hand. I love it. I say go for it.

mrsparis :  in that case, go for it! In the UK diamond solitaires are probably the most popular choice still for engagement rings, and I have three I wear on my right hand (0.25ct diamond and yellow gold; 0.25ct diamond and silver; 0.5ct moissanite and palladium) semi-regularly. It probably looks odd to some as my engagement ring and wedding band are quite flashy by UK standards, but, it makes me happy, so… 🙂 I never wanted a solitaire engagement ring, but I like solitaires as right hand rings.

These are my hands, plus a thin diamond band on my thumb.  I say go for it, you can wear whatever you like, it’s your body

I have a right hand ring that I wear on special occasions. Its made from the same materials as my wedding band (tungsten with a carbon fiber inlay). You can definitely tell its the same type of ring, the only difference is the colors and widths. It felt weird at first but i liked it enough so I rolled with it.

TBH I think it’s kind of insulting to your fiancé to say the probably expensive diamond ring he proposed with isnt good enough for the wedding day so you bought yourself a flashy sim that is.

I don’t think style wise it’s weird to wear rings on each hand- I do it every day. But I would at least wait till after the wedding and use your actual engagement ring for the day.

I would never buy a moissy ring if I had a diamond ring! Use the money to buy a enhancer for your diamond instead? 🙂

mrsparis :  You should wear what you want style-wise, but I would just get a moissanite halo to wear as a rhr instead of replacing the engagement ring your fiance gave you .

mrsbear2be :

oh em gee. I’m now madly looking for a dainty diamond band for my right thumb. Fabulous idea!! I’ve been wanting a right hand ring, either diamond, eternity band, moissanite, I’ve searched them all. I never considered this which is surprising because I like midi rings! I think a thumb ring has that feel somewhat! Thanks!

OP: I have been looking for so long, for a similar reason. I love my diamond set and don’t want to take away from it. But I also like diamonds! And sparkle! And I spend way too much time finding the light and looking at my ring. I say do what you want! I love that other people here have more than one set, that people mix moissy and diamond, etc. here’s my ring set…it’s a lot of bling so I love the thumb idea!!

I’ve been wearing my wedding set for 25 years, then in June got a big diamond solitaire and wedding band for our 25th anniversary. I wear the new solitaire and band on my right hand, as the wedding set has been on my left hand for so long now that it would be weird to take it off. They are both obviously wedding sets – but no one has ever commented on it being weird. Yesterday out shopping I had a cashier absolutely gushing about my 25 year solitaire and moissanite eternity band on the right hand. She couldn’t get over how sparkly it was. Makes me want a big moissanite solitaire now! My diamond is big and beautiful – but moissanite really out-sparkles it.

If (when) I get the moissanite solitaire (trying to talk hubby into letting me choose one for Christmas) – I’ll have 3 solitaire engagment rings. I won’t care – I’ll be wearing them all!!
