I know this sounds weird, but sometimes I cannot stand ANY rings on me, so I take them all off, usually while I’m at home on Sunday.  It gets to you when they are all spinning, getting in the way, catching on shit, ugh.  It gets to me anyway.  Freedom from the rings that bind us all!!  *speaks in an elvish-hobbit mix

I take it off when I’m at home.  I only wear it when I’m out, not doing anything that might damage it.

i’ve only had my engagement ring for a week, but i’ve been wondering the same question!

so far, i take mine off at night when i go to bed and leave it off until after i shower the next day. i’ve forgotten to put it on twice already.. but then i run back inside to get it because after waiting all this time for a ring i better wear it!

i’m scared to lose it though so i don’t take it off when washing my hands or anything.

I take my engagement ring off when I wash my hands (it goes in between my lips), shower, cook, and sleep.

I have worn my e-ring and wedding band for nearly 10 years now and only take them off to bake or make meatballs or to have them cleaned. I have a ring holder in the kitchen for those occasions where my hands are going to get doughy or covered in meat.

I use to take my Engagement Ring off when I cleaned, swam, did dirty chores, art, even sometimes to wash my hands. Unfortunately, because it came on and off so much I ended up losing it. It took me a wicked long time to find it and I cried a lot, because I really thought it was gone forever. After that I leave it on all the time, it doesn’t seen to get damaged and I have no more scares like that.

I always wear my ring outside of the house, and once out I never take it off. I have never forgotten it at home, I always put it on at the end of putting on makeup. It’s the finishing touch. 😉

However, when I’m at home, I take it off alot, but it goes straight back in its box on my bookshelf. I won’t set it down for one second anywhere else. I take it off when I cook something messy or hand wash pots and pans or sleep.

If traveling, I take my ring box and ill put it back in its box inside my purse while I sleep.
