Aww, I know the feeling. Unless you’re planning on picking out the ring together with your SO, I suggest taking a step back, sending your SO a few of your favorites and letting him/her decide. That way, your fiancee will have a say in the process. If you’ll be present when you two pick out a ring, I say, what does your gut tell you and which ring do you always go back to and make you smile? G’luck!

Unless you’re buying it with him, then take a step back LOL. I sent DH a bunch of pictures of what I wanted and I got nothing like it. I wasn’t disappointed, because it was beautiful, but I did think WTH? when I first saw it. It’s easier if you have no expectations.

@mwitter80: This is exactly what happened to me. I picked out probably my top 5 that I liked the most, and the ring I got wasn’t even close 🙂 boys….

I found this ring that I love! It’s rose gold with morganite and diamonds and definitely affordable. I look at it everyday and he knows that it’s  exactly what I want. The problem is that I’m afraid he’s going to try to surprise me with something that will make me “happier” aka: the Tiffany Novo. It used to be my dream ring but then I decided I didn’t want a diamond, I just hope he realises that I’m not using “girl speak” to speed up the proposal with a cheaper ring haha.

I find it’s kind of impossible to stop thinking about this ring, I picture it on my finger and visit the site all the time. It’s like I have ring fever! I guess to get my mind off of the ring I come on here and post, or watch a show on the food network or something unrelated to proposals and rings haha.

@sugarpea: Oh man, I have ring fever so bad too! I literally go to the website multiple times a day just to “visit” it because I miss it, I picture the ring on my finger all the time…it’s an obsession!

I tried going ring shopping with my fiancee a few times and became too overhwelmed each time. Eventually I decided to let him make a decision and he picked an absolutely stunning ring. If you don’t trust his judgment, maybe you can suggest that he takes one of your friends or someone else whose taste in jewelry you trust. I am sure that he will find something gorgeous for you and it will be even more beautifull because he picked it out as a symbol of his love and commitment.
