I’m so sad. I just noticed there’s a huge rip in my veil at the edge where the crystals are… And it was so expensive too ($150). I can’t even take it to the store to ask if they can help me because the store’s closed down now.
Hopefully, I can still wear it to the ceremony and a few pictures without it being noticeable. It’s not going to cover my face, just fall down my back. We’ll see.
I don’t want to spend the money on a new one. And I really liked this one too.

Can it be fixed? Can you sew it and place some crystals to cover it up?

No, it can’t be fixed. I may be able to get away with wearing it a bit if I can make it less noticable. I’ll just wear it for the ceremony and a couple pf pictures and ask to photoshop away the rip. (FH’s brother is doing the photo editing so hopefully he can help me out there.)

What a bummer!! Couldn’t you make it shorter and just have all the crystals moved up to be above the rip?
Good luck! I’m sure it will be unnoticable in your photos!

I think you can fix it. I would get some fabric glue and a very timy paint brush, and work very slowly and carefully to glue the cut closed.

snmcdowell: i think that’s a great idea! I might as well give it a shot. Fabric glue I’ve already got. I’ll just need to grab a small paint brush. I hope it’ll work. *crosses fingers*
I’m such a bridezilla, I was tossing and turning all night about this rip.

i am adancer and have had to mend many a net costume before. try a little clear nail polish on the edges then sew those togetherwith a very fine, either fishing wire or fine white thread. let us know how it turns out!

if fabric glue does not work, try super glue (clear). Just dab on a little bit and stick the netting together. I’m sure it won’t show in photos, especially if you didn’t notice it untial now.
