I have a plain 14k white gold knife edge band from them. It was super problem-free ordering from them and pretty cheap, but the rodium plating disappeared really qiuckly from the band, so if you google unplated white gold, that’s what it looks like now. I always thought it was a little weird how quickly that happened because I hardly wear it (only periodically in the winter when my fingers shrink to keep my e-ring from falling off), and I have other white gold rings that still look brand new.

anonkimmy:  Yeah, that’s exactly how it looks. Which isn’t a big problem, but my e-ring is platinum so it just looks a little different–but again, I really don’t mind since it’s just a way to keep my ring from coming off.

And your mileage may vary–I’ve heard that different skin chemistry can react differently with plating. Yours might not not change like mine did so quickly. And you’re right, their warranty is great so I don’t see a reason not to go with them. Do they have a return policy? I know JA does. I had a fantastic experience with JA with my e-ring, so if we decide to get our wedding bands online, I’ll go with them.

I think most people don’t go with Ritani over James Allen because Ritani doesn’t have pictures/videos of the actual diamonds.

We’re considering getting a Ritani diamond and I’d love to hear other people’s thoughts on this!

My engagement ring is from ritani and it is very nice quality! I think that their settings and diamonds seem a little pricier than other online companies but all in all very good quality.  I didn’t do any of the purchasing, in fact my fiancé out my ring together as a surprise.  he showed me what it looks like online and it pretty much looks the same.  Just be aware that the smaller band diamonds are really really tiny! I was a little surprised that the computer showed my band diamonds as looking bigger than what they actually are.  The center stone is 1.01 carats and tside sto at up to .10!

anonkimmy:  My FH bought my engagement ring through them. They did an amazing job on it (it’s custom). He spent a fortune on it, though.. mostly for the quality stones he wanted. He said that their customer service was OUTSTANDING and he only wants to buy jewelry from them (which is unfortunate because outside of wedding rings and engagement ring, the choices are slim).. They really knocked our socks off. I would HIGHLY recommend them, though!

alamana:  They do have videos and pictures of some of their diamonds. You can also request one. Not that that helps you decide to want to see it.

I think the price for diamonds were slightly inflated at Ritani. It you look up the GIA certificate # of the diamond you’re interested in via Google, you will most likely find it elsewhere for cheaper. Or I should say that was my experience while we were looking.

Good luck!

teambryan:  yup! I agree! My fiancé did choose higher quality stones but blue nile makes a similiar ring that was about 1500 less.

First let me start off by saying that I just traded my round Ritani center stone for one of their modified brilliant cushion cut stones, to which they gave 100% trade-in credit. I found the prices to be lower at Ritani even for the GIA graded stones and my father is a jeweler so that’s saying something 😉 Ritani has amazing customer service and quality rings – we purchased the new ering setting and the wedding band from them and they are great quality and beautiful pieces of jewelry! In my totally biased opinion, lol. I would say you can’t go wrong – here are my specs, hope it helps: GIA 1.63 modified brilliant cushion cut, VVS2, F, very good cut, excellent pollish and symmetry, no fluorescenc set in a .23 ct petite split french halo with a 3/4 ct half eternity wedding band. Good luck 🙂
