I went to Silversands and had a fabulous time – but you really can’t go wrong with any of those options.  I will tell you though – the beach at Silversands isn’t spectacular. It’s very rocky, but if you like the view and/or are willing to walk a little bit, the beach gets gorgeous.

In addition to your sites I’d also check http://www.travelbyjen.com.  We’ve used that site several times and the prices are out of control.  People were bragging to us at the resort that they only paid $2200 for the week per person but we actually paid $750… including air.  πŸ˜‰

Secrets Capri is gorgeous. I really enjoyed the spa experience there.

We’re heading to El Dorado Seaside Suites, which is on the lower point of the area, but they have sister hotels higher up the coast. I specifically looked for a hotel with sisters, so that we could travel between them (most hotels allow this) for dinner or shows. Fiance gets antsy so we definitely want to get out a little.

We went to the Excellence Riviera Cancun, and it was amazing. By far the best vacation experience of my life!

We are going to Grand Pallidium Colonial. Our Apple travel agent said this resort has one of the best beaches in the area.

@HummusGal:  Thank you πŸ˜‰

And YES I’d highly recommend the zip line/cenote/Tulum excursion.  I think it was like $105 per person, lasted for like 6 hours and included a delicious lunch at the zip line/caves.  We did Tulum first and it was amazing:

Then we zip lined over the canopy!

And then we snorkeled in the cenotes/underground rivers.  This was CRAZY, and awesome.

@HummusGal:  Girl I took that beach picture with my regular old Kodak camera… Tulum is GORGEOUS. Here’s some more πŸ™‚

And here’s the beach down the way from Silversands… in the distance is a nude resort πŸ™‚

And yes, the cenotes freaked me out!  It was freezing cold, and the caves were DEEP.  They lit the bottom so you could see all the way down and into the crevaces and stuff.  But there was fish and things, it was really neat.  I’m not claustrophobic but the combo of tight spaces + breathing tube + deep water kind of got to me at first.  But then I got used to it.  Mark was a daredevil and dove deep into the caves and swam below everyone. People clapped.  haha
