I’m looking in the same area, and the Catalonia Royal Tulum is the frontrunner right now.

Excellence Playa Mujeres! Fiance really like Zoetry but it was a little on the pricey side.

@Ms_Destination Wedding_bee:  I haven’t! But it was well-reviewed on every website I looked at. It got TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence this year, and Expedia gave it a 4.6 out of 5.

@Ms_Destination Wedding_bee:  I stayed at Catalonia Royal Tulum back in 2011 and it was great! The beach is hands down the best part of the resort, absolutely gorgeous! I give it a solid 3.5 stars. You should definitely check out some of the Dreams & Secrets resorts (Zoetry is a part of their resorts as well), we typically stay with that brand as the service is top notch!

@Ms_Destination Wedding_bee:  I have been doing a tonne of research on resorts in that area for our honeymoon (FYI I haven’t actually been before so i’m not speaking from experience, just what i’ve seen/heard) and this is my top pick for when we go!

Rosewood Mayakoba – Playa del Carmen

It looks absolutely amazing! and it’s ranked #1 in the Riviera Maya area on Trip Advisor 🙂

Enjoy! If we didn’t live so far away i’d love to fly everyone over and have our wedding there, so dreamy!

I’ve been researching Riviera Maya as well for our upcoming wedding- I have heard great things about Excellence from a bridesmaid that has been there twice. The downfall, according to her, is that the bathrooms in the room are not private, has a clear glass door to the toilet and there is an open window in the bathroom you can’t close so you have no privacy. So while this may not affect your actual wedding- it may play a factor into your (and your guests) stay in their rooms. Just a tip! Otherwise she said it was amazing!!

We stayed at Secrets Capri and it seemed like there was a wedding there every night. Good food, beautiful atmosphere. Would highly recommend

Has anyone gotten a proposal from the Rosewood Mayakoba? They have absolutely no information on their website.

I stayed at Valentin Imperial Maya this past June with 3 other couples and there was a wedding there when we stayed.  It’s a beautiful, quiet resort and has a really cute little chapel (or you could get married on the beautiful beach!)  We LOVED the resort!
