i work not too far from there and have gone up there a few times to look at headpieces, etc. i don’t know if their prices are THAT great. i found a headpiece there for $200 but still wasn’t sure because of the pricetag and they weren’t sure if it would come in on time (only 6 weeks until my wedding at that point). i found it online, in stock, for $70. big price difference plus no NY sales tax!

my advice would be to shop around online. go to the store, try it on (if you haven’t already) and if you love it, shop around. if RK has the best price, go back there.

I got my dress at RK bridal 4 years ago. The dress that I got wasn’t over the budget and they shipped on time, however alteration was an extra $200 something bucks. There service was okay. If you have a chance I think you should try Lotus Bridal they have many fancier and nicer dresses at a beatable price.

I went there before Kleinfeld

after browing through david’s bridal I didn’t fall in love with anyhting, tehre wqas something missing, too plain or too common no wow factor

I went to RK bridal….wow, the quality of the gowns were so much more beautiful you can appreciate the detail of the designer

I tried about 12 and loved 1; it wasn’t cheap but it wasnt outrageous either AT 699 but alterations were less than 200 or cheaper

but went to Kleinfeld and found one on sale for 599

to be honest if I had done Kleinfled first I would have gotten the one at RK bridal; but since I dont get the first try on; I didnt get the one at RK bridal; it was timing

the RK gowns are BEAUTIFUL

I got my dress and RK and think it is a wonderful place. I went there because I wanted to try on a dress in my size. They have so many dresses. I lucked out and it turns out the dress I picked out, I could buy that actual one for 1/2 price. So I didn’t need to order it. The only downside about RK I found was the seamstress. Everyone else is so nice, but the lady who worked on my dress was really negetive and seemed annoyed during all my interactions with her.

Another wonderful place I went to was the Bridal Garden. www.bridalgarden.org They are so laid back and let you pull your own dresses off of the rack. All the profits go to NYC children. They get stuff in all time so you may want to visit a few times. Appointment only. Pretty strict. You can’t arrive early or they won’t let you in.

I live right up the street from RK Bridal so I checked this place out earlier on. You don’t get the type of customer service you would at Kleinfeld’s, and the place is not as upscale as Kleinfeld’s, but who cares as long as you find the dress you want at the price you want it? I was actually able to find the dress that I fell in love with at RK Bridal for $300 cheaper at netbride.com.

I was actually pretty impressed with RK. While it took awhile to get into a fitting room, once I was in, the woman who helped me was great. Based on the 5 dresses I had originally chosen, she brought in another 7-10, and the ones I ended up liking best were the ones she chose for me, not the ones I chose! She did a great job of listening to what i was looking for & then finding it. I ended up finding my dress at a random shop in the garment district instead, but I would definitely recommend RK.

I purchased two flower girl dresses at RK bridal, under their no frills program. They were affordable and both arrived early. I would recommend that you contact them for a price comparison if you have already selected a dress. I have also read good things about Pearl’s Place, which you might also use for price comparison purposes. You can try on dresses at RK bridal, but they don’t take appointments, so the place is rumored to be quite crowded on the weekends. I was there during the week, and I didn’t see anyone waiting. There was a very large selection.

I bought my La Sposa dress from RK. I went to kleinfields and bridal reflections first and had trouble staying in budget. I went to Rk when it opens at 11 am on a weekday and got wonderful service, my girl was so great. I just had my first fitting since it came in, it was perfect! I am also going to get my alterations there it’s $300 max!! What a deal, not the most amazing looking place (overwhelming with racks and racks of dresses) but it has everything and good prices. They even gave me a swatch of my dress so that I can go get my accessories. If you want, it can let you know how my atlerations are coming along there.

Also, they told me that the earliest I would prob get the dress was mid sept because it comes from spain, but it was here end of August!

I had a good experiece at RK Bridal. I ended up buying my dress at bridesnet.com because it was cheaper, but I recommend going to RK Bridal. They have a huge dress selection and while the experience was not as fancy as what I got at Kleinfeld’s, they are nice enough and knowledgeable.

I just bought my dress from RK Bridal today!! I had a great experience, even though (or perhaps because) I expected the worse. I went on Saturday around 12:30 and it wasn’t as crowded or crazy as I thought it would be. I admit it was daunting at first glance with the racks and racks of dresses – and I was pretty sure it was going to be failed mission.

I set about picking out my five dresses while waiting to be called. When it was my turn, my consultant Sheryl was so helpful!! Based on the picture I showed her and what I had picked, she pulled a few more dresses. I probably tried on about ten dresses in total. The one I ended up getting was one she had picked for me! She was no nonsense and gave her honest opinions about the dresses. However she also let me come to my own conclusions and did not pressure me or rush me. I really felt like I could stay in the dresses as long as I liked!

My advice for RK Bridal is to go AFTER you have already been to other bridal salons. Before RK, I had already gone to Kleinfelds (so-so), Wedding Atelier (recommend), and a smaller boutique in Brooklyn called the White Gown (reccommend). My experience at other salons helped me to narrow down the style I liked. If you go to RK Bridal trying to cast too wide a net, you will leave disappointed and overwhelmed.

The price was also fantastic for the Allure dress I got. I a am very happy bride-to-be! 🙂
