Fiance and I decided what we’re doing for our Honeymoon. We’ve decided on a roadtrip from southern ontario(90 mins away from toronto), to nova scotia. Our wedding is March 28th, and we’re still deciding if we’ll be leaving the day of our wedding or if we want to relax the rest of the day and leave sunday morning. Our wedding is just a simple ceremony with just family(about 25 ppl), with lunch at a nearby restarurant.
ANYWAY, what I want to get on about is if anyone has any tips. Whether it’s about points of interest(we’ll be going to ottawa, montreal, quebec city, and a few other major towns), or tips on what to stock especially for honeymoon items ;)!
Has anyone else done this route before? FI’s parents did it 2 years ago and they loved it, but they did it in the summer and we’ll be going right as spring is starting(though still freezing temps here where we are..). Any suggestions for romantic but affordable hotels along our route? We want to stay away from BnB’s as much as possible.

I’ve never done this road trip before but one suggetion I will give is to look up to see if any of these major cities/towns have any festivals going on. Reason being was that my husbands family did this trip a couple years back (we are near the Windsor area) and as they were travelling they found some places hard to get hotels along the way due to being booked due to festivals. They went in the summer time I believe though but never know 😀 Good luck, have fun and make sure to pack some lingerie 😀

We always camp, so I can’t comment on hotels, but in Nova Scotia the town of Lunenburg is just gorgeous. If you have the time I recommend a side trip to Prince Edward Island. The place is amazing – everywhere you look, it looks just like a postcard. Gorgeous beaches, relaxed atmosphere. Take a camera! Keep a diary!

Check our groupon and wagjag for deals in major cities along the way. It could help save some money on events/nice dinners. 🙂
Good luck! My H and I are doing that same trip at the end of the summer. Hope you have lots of fun!
Btw, I would leave the next morning and just relax the day of your wedding and get a fresh start. 🙂
