@FloridaGatorBride:  +1. We registered for a bassinet (this one, from BRU Canada http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=16548826′ defer=’defer ) for baby to sleep in until he/she moves to the crib. I didn’t like the basinetts with the rock option (either front to back, or side to side) after reading some scary stories about babies who had shifted through the night and were bum-high or leaning on their sides because of the rocking action of the base. Food for thought. 🙂

@As_You_Wish:  I got them in the states. So much cheaper. I’ve seen the bouncer at Sears though, not sure if I’ve seen the swing. I wasn’t sure if I would need both, but the swing is really big and doesn’t fit through doors easy, so it stays in our bedroom. She loves them both, I’m glad I ended up getting both.

@As_You_Wish:  It’s so stupid, I paid $64 or $54 for my bouncer on sale at Target in the States, they’re $99 at Sears here. Keep an eye out for it on sale, or baby days, you might be able to find it 15% off then.

They are intermittently on nobetterdeal.com in a different style (like the monkey but different color/pattern). Not sure if they ship to Canada.

@As_You_Wish:  They are illegal in Canada I think. Someone on another baby board I’m on had the same issue of not finding one and that was why.

We’ve used one for the past 3 months with zero issue and its been a lifesaver! Bummer you can’t get one unless you’re near the US border? I also love my snugabunny swing.

Yes the snuggabunny swing is pretty big and I guess it takes up a lot of space but our house is on the larger side and we have plenty of room for it. I can honestly say its been a lifesaver! I also have the snuggabunny bouncer and its kind of lame. I used it a lot when my DD was very small but she isn’t really into the vibration of it and it doesn’t have a toy bar just some random birds hanging from the top of it and they’re at a weird angle so she can’t see them all the time. I ended up buying the fisher price rainforest bouncer second hand which we LOVE now bc my DD is bigger (4 months) and she can kick the toys and it has lights and music.
