So Fiance and I have been looking for a first dance song foreverr and the other day I mentioned “My Best Friend” by Tim Mcgraw and had him listen to it briefly, so then he busts out singing “Best Friend” by 50 Cent. I loved it.
Am I crazy to think that with less than a month away we could somehow pull off a rock the reception? We would do Tim Mcgraw’s for about a minute and a half or so, then switch it all of a sudden to 50 Cent. Being able to pull off a first dance song(s) like that would be awesome but I do want that sentimental part of it too! What do you think, is it possible?!

I think this is possible!!! If you want the slow intamate dance and then be able to bust out and have fun with it as well, do it!! I think it willl be a great memorable first dance. Oh and its your day!! Make it yours 🙂

@organizedbride11:Thanks!! We would really like to do this, it’s so us!! Now to decide if we just wing it or have it somewhat choreographed?!

I love it! I think doing them both is perfect because you get a nice memory and a rockin’ memory :-p
At my sister’s wedding her fiance surprised her with an Elvis impersonator because their first dance was to “The Wonder of You”. They ended up with 2 first dances because he sang “Blue Hawaii” in honor of their honeymoon. It was a great memory! I think it is really fun when something unexpected happens and surprises the guests!

I think sometimes for the guys its best to just wing it because if they are nervouse in front of people and trying to remember the moves it can be stressfull then if they mess up they could just stop… idk if it were my Fiance we would just wing it or maybe have just moves tothe chorus or something.
