For the reception we will have Pantera, Marilyn Manson, Skid Row, Prayers, AFI, Motley Crue, Type O Negative, Die Antwoord, Steel Panther, Danzig, etc. The list continues.
My bridesmaids will be walking down to The Doors “Blue Sunday” and I’m walking down to Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer”
People knew what they were getting when they signed up.

stephanieneb : Fiance and I are big metal fans but we know most of our guests are not. So we decided we would incorporate it in subtle ways. We are big Deftones fans, so we are using some songs from their acustic album and also using some Vitamin String Quartet songs from their tribute album for cocktail hour and while people have dinner. Apocalyptica has some beautiful stuff, especially in their Metallica tribute album as well. Some of the side projects have songs we love that are not too heavy, like Option by Crosses which will likely be our wedding song.
You can always add some of the music too into your walk up the aisle or even in the wedding video.

stephanieneb : didn’t realize you already got married since I waited too long to finish my post! Lol
Congratulations! Great choice on the music. I’m still considering doing Sweet Child as a karaoke choice for our wedding (yes I know, we are crazy for having karaoke), but we’ll also have open bar!

MissDevourer9 : that’s a very smart way to incorporate the music into the event!

- Wedding: LA Athletic Club
I love classic rock so we will have some of my favorites play at our reception (The Doors, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Rolling Stones etc.) However my dad, fiancé and my brothers are the only ones who enjoy this music so we will have a mix of other genres the Dj will play.

We have about 30 “must play” Electric Six songs haha, and we’ve asked that Richard Cheese be played as background dinner music. If people don’t like it or don’t get it, we won’t even notice because we’ll be too busy jamming.
