Romantic, cheap ways to say I love you

Love notes are the best. My fiance and I hide post-it notes with little messages on them in random places; I like hiding them in his gym bag or his wallet. You could write a letter to your fiance telling him how much he means to you. I’m sure he’d appreciate it!

mrsMAC77 :  I made my husband a note jar. 365 Days of notes. This was 2 years ago and till this day when we have an argument or I am feeling a little low he goes into the note jar and leaves them around the house for me to find. It was really inexpensive and he loved it. Although it’s cheesy he said it was the best gift somebody ever got him. Because it took thought and patience to make it.

I agree with previous poster.  I hide cards/notes all the time, randomly, for my husband.  Some I put in obvious places (like the fridge or microwave)…others I hide and it takes him months to find (I’ll usually write the date I hid it too.  So if it’s in a box of sporting equipment or winter clothes…it might sit there for a couple months.  Then it’s a double surprise.

Also—every now and then I use my lipstick/lip liner to write a note on his mirror.

Or a printed photo of you two—those are super cheap to print at Walgreens/CVS and then frame or hide somewhere.

Even simple things you can do together,…going for a walk in the evening…or a Saturday bike ride with a picnic… Sometimes relaxing and doing “nothing” is exactly what’s needed when the engagement gets a bit stressed and busy from planning.

And depending on your level of….sauciness…. a few naughty texts.  LOL  He’ll be excited to get home to you and you can both have a little stress relief.  😉

I agree with love notes.  His favorite dinner is nice too even if you cook every night, especially if you set the mood with candles, music, etc. and handle all the cleanup.  A few days of love notes, extra sweet texts, his favorite candy, running an errand or two on his behalf and an extra special dinner goes a long way.

I made my husband this four our first Christmas together! 365 reasons why I love him. But you can add as many reasons as you’d like. I’ve seen 50 or 100. I just got colored paper and cut in in long strips wrote my reasons like “because you make me feel safe” or “You have the most beauitful eyes I’ve seen” and folded it and tied it with a ribbon.

My Fiance brings lunch to work. Sometimes I sneak notes and extra treats into his lunch bag, so he’ll get a surprise during the day. For our anniversary, I left a card and balloon in his car, so he’d see it first thing in the morning. Not expensive, but the surprise and effort goes a long way!

I started this thing I call “Sexy Suppers” where once in a while I will make my fiancé an extra special dinner, and I make it while wearing only lingerie and high heels. It’s a lot of fun, and he loves it!!!

mrsMAC77 :  Thanks!!! I have to admit, I was pretty proud of myself when I thought of the catchy name 😜. Giving him a nice long massage never hurts either!!!
