So I don’t know about any of you- but I totally stressed over ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS. I wanted these to be timeless, beautiful, and perfect but I was so self conscious.
I wanted to help ease anyone’s nerves by telling you how fun it really was and how amazing it was to meet and get to know our photographer before our big day (May 23, 2015 coming up!). I wrote up a blogpost about the setting and rounded up some simple + casual pieces to achieve a relaxed look here: http://www.thethingsshesees.com .
Anyone else feel nervous or super excited for the photos? xo

We are doing engagment photos in about 2 1/2 weeks and I’m freaking out. 1. Because I’m quite a bit shy and don’t do well being photographed and 2. I don’t know how to dress myself or smile without looking like a goofball!!!! I see all these girls looking so fab in these well put together outfits and I’ve never been any sort of fashionista! AAAaAAAAAAaaaaahhhh!

Me too! We’ve got our pics tentatively scheduled for the weekend of the 18th (our photographer and we really want a beautiful fall engagement shoot, so we’ll postpone if the leaves haven’t started to change by then) and I plan to literally print off random pictures from pintrest and duplicate the outfits to make sure I don’t look ridiculous. Alternatively, I may just walk into a store and the first time someone asks, “can I help you find anything” I’ll reply… “an entire outfit to take engagement photos in” and just pray that that person has a better sense of style than I do. 🙂

1. Yay for date twins (my other half is also a Ryan)! 2. Your pics are gorgeous. 3. I am so stressing about engagement pics- I didn’t realize I would be so worried about them until I started planning for it.
I feel you on the outfit- I am also worried that something that looks decent in person won’t photograph well. We’re doing a fall engagement shoot on October 14th and where I am the leaves are starting to change and now I’m worried we’ll have missed the best time by then- I wish I knew what day/week would be the sweet spot for fall colors!
