mine and FIs anniversary was yesterday..he was out of town and comes back Friday I’m on call until 4:30 but I wanted to do something a little special for him to either leave for him to come home to or have waiting for him when he gets home if I’m there..
were not really gift people, more the “the little things” couple.
Any new ideas for something like this that my brain isn’t capable of thinking up?
what do you do for your significant other to make them feel special?

@Laurenskii: SO stopped on his way home from school the other night and got me a Frosty to surprise me with. I usually make him food, get his fav treat or leave him a naughty picture or quick video.

@Laurenskii: I always leave post-its all over where ever I missed him in the house and write why I missed him on them. It physically shows how much I missed him. I also make a favorite dinner or plan a date. I always “give” dates to my Fiance. I make up a bag with cheap dates such as
(5 dollars for icecream/coffee + a walk in the park)
(buy giftcard to movies or resturant)
(buy a cheap dvd, drinks (soda or something) and snacks- for a movie night in)
(lotion + massage thing -for a romantic night)

@wisher558: i would SO do the naughty picture thing but my Fiance is the only person in the world without a smartphone.
maybe i could upload it as his background on the desktop HAHA
I always cook for him so i dont think that would be anything out of the ordinary

A cheap and cute idea: since he was out of town, use sticky notes to leave “lables” all over the appartment indicating how you missed him. That doesn’t really make sense…here is an example of what I mean.
You could put one note on the front door that says “How have I missed you? Let me count the ways…” Then put a sticky note the dining table in his spot that says “1 – my yummy dinners are bland without your company” and on his pillow put one that says “2 – I missed that handsome sleeping face all week!” etc.
Buy new lengerie. Take the bag (vic secret or whatever) and put tissue in it. Leave a note saying for him to open his present. Tie a note to the tissue that he pulls out say something like “Whoops, I’m wearing your present! You’ll have to unwrap me if you want to see what it is…see you at 5:00”
PIck him up some sort of favorite treat in a quantity that relates to your anniversary. For example, if he’s really into ice ceram and it’s your 3rd anniversary, get him three little tubs of ben and gerrys for “three sweet years together.”

When Fiance goes out of town I always have a card waiting for him on his nightstand with all the things I missed about him. He enjoys those. We’re a small things couple too.

@cbgg: oh goodness!!! if i would have gotten the lengerie idea a few hours ago i DEF would have done that…how cute 🙂 all your ideas are cute!
@maypearl: this is very sweet, i may start doing this. since its so late now i can def make a card and leave it for him.
If i beat him home tomorrow and have time to run to the store quick i might do the lengerie idea @cbgg: mentioned
thanks ladies for sharing these things! its always these things that keep the spark alive 🙂

@Laurenskii: Oh right, it’s already thursday night! You can always use the idea another time 😀
I’ve kind of impressed myself with my cute ideas! I should do something like this one time, I never do anything romantic.
