My fiance and I are looking for a venue for about 230 people. We need it to be very affordable per person. We want to look at Rose Bank Winery in Newtown, but we want an idea of pricing beforehand. Has anyone had their wedding here?
Also, any other suggestions in the Philadelphia area for a rustic/charming feeling reception venue that is affordable and fits that many people?

The Old Mill in Rose Valley (Media) fits up to 250 and can do $70/person (not incl alcohol).

We also looked at the Rose Bank Winery but to rent out their larger (new) room which is what you would need for a wedding that size is $6,000 just for the space. They include the tables and plastic folding chairs. Its beautiful and rustic though. I included a picture of the space set up for a wedding about your size!
Feel free to send me a message if you have other questions about the venue – I visited quite a few times so I may be able to help 🙂

My Fiance and I looked into the Rose Bank Winery as well! It is a beautiful space, but we didn’t get a great feeling from the owner. We would be planning the wedding from 5 hours away, and it seemed as if you pay them and are just on your own after that, getting the vendors, etc. and $6,000 ($7,000 if you want the downstairs cellar/patio/outdoor space for the wedding as well) seemed like a ton of money to have absolutely no support from them. We read reviews online and it also seems like there is always construction going on at the site and a lot of mixed reviews about how it is run. When we were visiting, there were huge piles of dirt just hanging around.
Perhaps if you live closer you can have more control than we would have had, cause it is an absolutely gorgeous space! Good luck 🙂
