My boyfriend is the one who talked me into rose gold, because that’s what he wants and he wants us to match. I originally wanted yellow gold, but seeing the rose on both of us (I’m pale, he’s black), it looks great! Ours are going to be Tacori, and they only use 18k rose gold, which almost looks yellow, so I like it more than the pinker kind. It’s funny, on Tacori’s website they call it rose gold on all the women’s pages and “red gold” on the men’s band pages.

Your rings are stunning!  I can totally see the man’s ring working, though I was skeptical at first.

My husbands ring is two metals: palladium and rose gold. A guy I work with has a rose gold ring, which I thought was very unique on a guy when I first saw it.

My husband has a rose gold band and loves it! It’s 6mm and has a brushed finish. He gets so many compliments on it.

redpeonies:  I don’t see anything wrong with it.  My DH was a big fan of rose gold and considered an RG band.  He ended up going with yellow gold, but it wouldn’t have bothered me if he did.

First, I generally reject the idea that men can’t wear/like traditionally feminine colours, or that there is anything wrong with things that are “girly.”  And second, rose gold actually reads kind of coppery orange rather than pink.  Well, it does on me (I have a rose gold band).

When we went to try on rings for him, we discovered that the white gold and silvery tones of platinum, titanium, etc. looked awful on his pinkish, yellowish skin. Same with yellow gold. Rose gold, however, looked perfect! The bronze, copper-y color worked perfectly. And the photo with your FI’s rose gold ring looks awesome! No reason rose gold should be just for girls 🙂 Especially because simply calling it “bronze” would cause a lot more guys to consider it!

well, first I think men can look amazing in pink–though of course they need to be sexually secure enough to wear it… which makes it that much sexier on them.

second, rose gold comes in so many shades.  My watch, for example, is technically rose gold but I honestly sometimes look at it and am like “maybe its just regular gold” and then look at the same company’s yellow gold watches and am like NOPE.  My rings, on the other hand, are rather unmistakable.

My Fiance wanted a rose gold ring to match mine. All of our rings are Tacori. It looks awesome on him, far better than yellow or white gold.

I had already chosen my ring and my Fiance wanted a solid black tungsten ring. Then he found this one with shiny rose gold edges and surprised me by really loving it! I love how ours match but don’t match.
