I’m leaning towards getting a thin plain rose gold band to go with my white gold halo w/ pave diamonds on the band.
Does anyone have anything similar?
What are your thoughts about how this would look?
I don’t know a lot about rose gold, does anyone have any general info?

So I love love LOVE the way this looks on other people’s hands, (see http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/rose-gold-and-white-gold ) but I HATED it for myself. I tried on an 18kt rose gold band with my 19kt white gold ering and it just looked mismatched, plus the rose gold was too similar to my skin tone. Keep in mind that 14kt rose gold will be more red, and 18kt rose gold will be more gold (higher copper content in 14kt). My suggestion is definitely to try it on with your ring to see if you like it.

I am doing this too! My ring is a split shank pave from Simon G. They have several pictures on their website of a white gold ring wiith a rose gold band, if you are looking for inspiration. One thing I know about rose gold is that every jeweler’s rose gold is a slightly different color, because it is a mixture of gold and copper.
I looked at both plain rose gold and pave rose gold. I decided to go for the pave, because it just looks better with my setting. I think the plain looks very good too, though. I liked the idea of a plain band because it seems sturdy. My ring is pretty ornate, so the plain band was a good contrast.

We looked at a lot of rose gold bands. I decided against it because I didn’t want to take away from the e-ring’s rose gold features…BUT I think the rose gold looks great against white gold (and yellow gold for that matter).
Like PP said, rose gold is a mix of gold and copper. Some jewlers like to set very light pink diamonds into rose gold because it makes them look more pink. I have seen some rose gold pave bands with pink diamonds and it looks great. Regular white diamonds look awesome as well set in rose gold…they come off almost a champagne/pink color.

I think that is a beatiful combo! That’s exactly what I’m going to do, but I will go with the rose gold pave. Our jeweler showed us some options recently and I was in loooove. It looked exactly like a ring from Simon G. that I used to drool over when I was still daydreaming. Good luck with your decision. post pics!

Here is my 14k white gold princess diamond band and 14k rose gold engagement solitaire. LOVE IT.
Sorry for the blurry shot…and for my nose which is peaking into the shot. LOL

I recently saw a set that had the e-ring in the middle with a small rose-gold pave band on each side. . .it was stunning!

I’m putting rose gold pave with my platinum e-ring. (Hopefully the platinum doesn’t wear it down too much!) I LOVE the way rose gold complements my skin tone.. And since its close, it doesn’t highlight the gap caused by my center stone.
