I’m looking for an upgrade wedding band (the one I have was a temporary one) and I fell in love with pink sapphires and diamonds together.
However, the one I found that would match is pink sapphires only, no diamonds.
So here’s a picture of my e-ring and the band I love. Would it look good as is? Or better with alternating pink sapphires & diamonds? I was thinking about ordering the band from Blue Nile and then taking it my local jewerler to have them replace some sapphires with tiny diamonds.
What do you bees think? (My e-ring is 18k rose gold as well.)

I like the alternating diamond/sapphire idea, if it isn’t too much trouble for you to get done!

@NorthernBelle10: I was wondering how hard it would be to get that done!

@alaska_99705: I like the way it looks all pink and I would stack it with your plain one.

I think either way would be nice. Im a guy but here is the set that I am getting for my gf the band is similar to The all pink one and the e-ring is alternating pink and diamonds. Sorry if this pic is too big….

I love the pink sapphire ring. Another option you could consider is a rose gold band with pink diamonds. Then you get both great qualities in one type of stone.

@MeelaMay: Unless you go lab created, pink diamonds are super pricey. That channel set ring you posted is $7400.00
I think peachy pink sapphires and other warmer stones look amazing in rose gold. I’m not as big of a fan of violent based pink stones in rose gold.
I do like the monochromatic look as opposed to alternating stones.

Did you look at gemvara? They might be able to make the ring you want. This is pretty close:

not a fan of pink sapphires, they look cheap to me. Your ering is so beautiful, they would detract from it. what about just white diamonds or pink and white diamonds?

@RedAngelDreamer: They don’t have to be that pricey, I just chose the first one I saw as a demo. They also have a nice one for a rather affordable $2500.
I like lovemyolives idea of pink and white diamonds. It would be cheaper than having all pink too. Although to me alternating colours is something I associate with eternity rings.
Just pick whichever ring you fall in love with 😉

I like diamonds on bands much better.

You have to ask yourself, how much do you like the color pink? Will it go with your wardrobe? In a few years are you going to be tired of the pink? I personally think if you do decide on the pink, to get alternating. I think that colored gemstones are beautiful, but for myself, Id want all white stones only because theyre versitile and I think they look fantastic with everything.
If you love pink, think it will go with your wardrobe, and think you will love it long term, then Id go with alternatng (white and pink) to keep it both contemporary and classic.
Edit: I prefer your set as is, with the plain rose gold band. It brings out the rose gold in your set, which otherwise can end up looking like yellow gold with stones in it unless you really look 🙂

Thank you all for the replies, it actually helped me out a lot.
What I think I’m going to do is order a ring very similar to the Tiffany Metro ring since I have tried it on and LOVED it.
I realized that pink is not something that I wear, ever, so it may not be a good idea to spend money & time on a ring that may end up sitting in my jewerly box.

@alaska_99705: I think something similar to that would look awesome with your ring. Good choice!
