The cad image of my e ring just came through. It is a lotus inspired ring. I wanted it to have more of a soft, feminine antique feel, not too bling and not too modern chic. The design was inspired by a similar lotus ring off whiteflash.com.
The centre stone is a white sapphire, surrounded by small diamonds, set in a lotus leaf like claw and mini gold petals holding pink sapphires. The shank will be slightly tapered into the head. (still figuring out if I should do this or leave it nice and even)
I am trying to determine if I should:
1. make the shank rose gold too.
2. keep the white gold shank, and only have rose gold petals (with pink diamonds) and keep everything else in white gold (including claws of sapphire and diamonds).
3. Keep the white gold shank, have the petals, the outside rim of the lotus, as well as the sapphire claw in ROSE GOLD, but keep all the claws of the small diamonds in white gold, to make it look like there is no distinctive barrier between the sapphire and the diamonds? (See whiteflash pink lotus below).
I look forward to your input and can’t wait to show you the real thing in real photo format 🙂

Personally I would make the shank rose gold and leave the rest alone

I like the 3rd options…the one that is like the white flash photo.

You know what? I love the first picture. It’s so pretty and unique and I love the contrast between the rose gold and white gold. So lovely.

Definitely keep the claws and petals rose gold, that looks absolutely beautiful against the white sapphires.
As for the shank, it’s totally your call! Do you want to mix metals and have a white or yellow gold band maybe? Do you LOVE rose gold and want to make a big statement with it, or just want a hint of it in your ring? I’d ask the jeweller for a CAD version in all rose too, just to get a better visual before deciding.

I would leave the halo part white and turn the shank into rose gold! Gorgeous ring!!

Thanks guys! I appreciate your help. Yes it does come down to personal taste..and I still can’t decide. I just wish I can see it as a real photo on a finger! Does anyone have any two tone e rings?
I got sent some more images today 🙂

@MissNoodles: Thank you I did ask him for more images in a variety of colours..I felt so bad asking because I remember he said it may not be easy to change things around… but it turned out to be quick and easy! And it definitely helped! x

I think some more rose gold would be pretty
