Hello! My boyfriend and I are currently in the process of picking out an engagement ring. We think this is definitely the style, but we are unsure of the color. I like the rose gold because it is unique and delicate, but I like the white gold because I have always envisioned myself with a white gold ring and the ring stands out more in it. I’m super torn! I might just tell him to surprise me, but I’d like to see what other people think! The pictures included are of the same style ring, just different colors and carats. I know the lighting is different which makes it hard so I’m sorry for that. Thanks for your input!

It’s hard to tell that the ring in the second photo is rose gold, but my friend has an engagement ring very similar in style and hers is rose gold—it’s GORGEOUS. Has a bit more of a vintage look to it and is more telling of the wearer’s personality. Don’t get me wrong, white gold rings are stunners, I just see more of them. Overall, it’s great if you love both and being surprised could be fun BUT, really consider if one metal would make you happier than the other. If there’s any inkling of “I love them both but hope he chooses THAT one!” then that’s the one you should go with.

I voted the rose gold. I too always thought I’d go for white gold, but after trying on rose gold I discovered I liked having a bit of colour and just something a bit different to everyone else. After all most of E rings I see are white gold.
Also remember that white gold will start to look a bit gold like once the rhodium plating fades and then it needs to be replated. But that is not going to happen to the rose gold.

My ring is rose gold and I absolutely love it. I get so many compliments because it’s not very traditional. I always wanted white gold but once I started ring shopping I fell in love with the rose gold rings.

I was unsure like you, I thought I wanted my ring with rose gold band and white gold halo but I also wanted a rose gold or two toned (white and rose) wedding band that I wanted to use on its own sometimes so I chose white gold for the ering and the pop of color I wanted would be my wedding band.
So I got the 2 toned look I wanted I just have to wait to the wedding to add the rose gold 😂 LOL
So you can go with the white gold and add a rose gold wedding band or viceversa!
I hope I made sense, my English is not good today 🤦🏼♀️ And I haven’t had my coffee
By The Way Gorgeous ring!!!

Also I forgot, our jeweler told us I can dip my ring or just the band into rose gold whenever I want to turn it into rose gold if I want that look for several months he told us it’s really not expensive and maybe that’s an option if you want to have the best of both worlds like me 😊

allieb1414 : I LOVE the rose gold. I feel like everyone steers towards white gold so having the color makes it stand apart from the rest!

That’s my next question in ring picking too! If I were you, I would pick Rose gold! Looks beautiful on your finger.

I voted rose gold. I have a very similar ring and it is rose gold as well. White gold is beautiful, but rose gold is my favorite.

Beautiful setting! I’m a white gold girl myself, but I think this particular ring looks better in rose gold. I love the warm contrast, it’s more unique than the white gold pave rings you see a lot on other people, which are still pretty, but just more common.

mittensmitten : holy cow. No ring has ever made me want rose gold until now 😍
OP I voted rose gold because it looks better for the setting and your skin.

allieb1414 : I like both. I have both. My wedding set is rose gold but it’s plain. I especially like the rose metal with all of the detail in the setting you picked out!

I actually much prefer the white gold on you! It pops much more. The rose gold seems to blend in with your skintone.
