@FutureMrsO_MyImSoLucky:  I like #1 and #3. I have a rose gold halo with RG prongs that’s also from Schubach, and my center absolutely looks bright white. The contrast is amazing. I would just get RG prongs if I were you.

Get 14k. I’ve heard 10k can actually be really brittle. I think 14k is the perfect mix, and in RG is the perfect color.

@FutureMrsO_MyImSoLucky:  I totally agree that the larger stone sizes in the halo look more vintage. With your big center stone, I think it will look incredible either way!

I have 14K rose gold and I think it is the perfect color, personally. πŸ™‚

I’ve posted my ring a zillion times on the bee, but if you want me to post it here too, let me know!

Sure! Also, I can’t wear cheap-y earrings for too long, and I have no trouble with rose gold. I think white gold allergies are way more likely, actually, because of the nickel. You’re probably fine. πŸ™‚

@FutureMrsO_MyImSoLucky:  I believe that generally the lower the gold karat, the higher the other stuff that mixes with the gold, so I would say though more copper (= less gold) will give it a more definitive pink colour rather than the more slight goldie-pink that 14k will give. I would guess that the gold is what gives the hue a more peachy/warm colour.

I have rose gold prongs.. and when I was ring shopping I was torn between having rose gold prongs or white gold prongs.

I am sooo glad that I went with rose gold prongs now that I have m ring! I don’t feel that the stone reflects from the rose gold at all!!

I think moissy looks best in white metal, at least the prongs.  I have had more than my fair share of it, and in rose gold, and it brings out the warmth in less than ideal lighting, imo.

I think either way looks good! here’s Amora moissy in a white gold halo (white gold prongs) and 14k rose gold shank.

I’ve included a few pics of my set. I went with 14k—I wanted something harder than 18k for durability (scratches, etc).
