amrx2015 :  Is your rose gold already pretty light or does the white gold band make it look lighter?

lillybug93 :  I think it might make it look lighter when they’re flush against one another. Here’s a different pic of the two where the rose gold looks more true to its shade.

Hi bees, this is my rose gold and white gold ring with the white gold band I’m considering. I hope this is helpful. The band is too big which is why it’s not fitting flush with my ring. Sorry for the bad ring pic. I was in the store trying on about 50 bands.

BalletParker :  It has been a really fun summer! I just (about an hour ago) got home from our second trip. We drove from Virginia to Maine, where we whale watched (incredible!!), hiked in Acadia National Park, and just did fun sight seeing things. All three of us love to take pictures, so we did a ton of that. It was such a long drive, though, and I’m so pooped. Also very happy to be home with my pups. I missed them like crazy!

You know, I didn’t even think about documenting my rings in their travels. I must be slipping a bit — ha, ha! (The truth is that my Dear Daughter is playing Pokemon Go, and she uses my phone for it. So I no longer have my phone handy when we are out and about.)

sakurabee :  Aww, thanks so much! That’s super kind of you to say. I’m sitting here thinking that I should try the combo again. After all, if the Bees say it’s a good one, it must be true! wink

adbee :  Those two look great together.

I have band that combines rose gold and white gold – the two look amazing together. I don’t think there’s any problem with wearing the two colours together. People are doing less of the ‘matching’ sets these days anyway.

Just realized that I have some pictures I can share! I was at the jeweler’s a couple weeks ago and tried on some bands after getting a prong fixed on my engagement ring. Not all of these are my style but I’ll share so others can get an idea of the look. I actually like the white gold with rose gold, but I have a nickel allergy and would hate to have a reaction to my wedding band, so I’ll be getting rose gold when the time comes.

I didn’t realize that some of these pictures were not so clear until after I left, but you get the idea!

sakurabee :ย here’s mine!! I added a thin rose gold band in between since my e-ring is a pave band and you cant really tell it’s rose gold unless you’re close up. The thin band helps to tie it together I think. Love this look ๐Ÿ™‚ย
