I am torn between a rose gold e-ring or a silver one. I love the romantic look of rose gold but my friends have made comments that the basket can detract from the center diamond because of the coloring. I have a friend who got a rose gold band and platinum basket to avoid this. Does anyone know more about this?

I have an 18kt rose gold ring with a rose gold basket. I was concerned that the color would make my diamond look ‘warmer’ but that hasen’t been the case. If you buy a quality stone with the best cut you won’t have any issues. Mine is an AGS 0 (ideal). I’ll be pairing it with an 18kt white gold diamond eternity wedding band in 2 months!

I think rose gold is beautiful but not sure if it will look good with my coloring.

I have rose gold prongs and a rose gold shank, but my stone is champagne, so I wanted to accentuate the warmth. I LOVE rose gold it is the perfect color for my skin.
I also have a G color diamond with a white gold head and yellow gold band like what you mentioned and i think that look is beautiful!

I have a rose gold basket and love it. I wanted to maximise the amount of rose gold on show!!
Mine is a forever brilliant moissanite so is notorious for picking up surrounding colour but I’ve never noticed it picking up any warmth. It just glows beautifully in the rose gold.

My ring is moissanite, but it’s all 14k rose gold and in my opinion it actually highlights the whiteness of my stones! I think the contrast is so pretty 🙂 My emerald cut center reflects back whatever colors are around it in pictures, but in real life it’s very white all the time, and the rose gold around it just makes it soft and pretty!

I agree with the pp, that the rose gold actually highlights the diamond a bit. Mine looks almost identical to hers except it’s round cut instead of emerald. I love how shiny and glittery my diamond is against the rose gold.
