lovesbooks99 : Thank you! I’m totally in love with your set too!I’m leaning towards a comfort fit band similar to your band with cathedral and maybe double claw prongs,or 4 claw prongs. I’m just so hesitant because I know what I have already is a classic set and will also always be in style. I don’t want to commit to a reset until I’m completely sure. It would have to absolutely wow me for it to be worth my while. Lately I’m obsessing over 4 prongs and double prongs because you can see more of the diamond exsposed on the side view. My husband wants me to do shared prong diamond side stones and band about 3mm but I already have a halo too and I think it’s kind of redundant to have two blingy sets…so the reset jury is still out.😧

Yes, yours is very beautiful and classic. But the reset you are contemplating also sounds like it would be beautiful and classic.  I think your stone would look wonderful set in 4 prongs. I have always loved the 4-prong look.  You should go to a jewelry store and try on a bunch of ring styles to see if anything strikes your fancy.  I have another set that is more blingy too so for this one, I wanted it to be classic and timeless and just let the diamond stand out on its own.  I chose 2.5 mm bands as I have always loved the look of wider bands and they are very comfy! Ugh, my nails are HORRID, but here is a side profile shot of my e-ring.  πŸ™‚

lovesbooks99 :  Your right! Maybe one day I will go out and try on a few 4 prong settings and see if it strikes my fancy. I do think it still will be classic in the direction I am contemplating but I’m definately still anti bling for this set.I really love your solitaire setting, I’ve never seen a ring that had a doughnut on the band and not at the base of the band. It adds a different spin on it.i also love how sturdy the prongs look. Nevermind the nails, mine look horrible now too because I’m on a break from acrylics until I can find another less destructive method for my nails so I’m officially in the horrid nails crew as well!😣

redearthlady :  Thank you!  I love your setting too!  And the thing about resets is that they can be undone if you’re not happy with it. But it can get expensive, so yeah, you want to make sure it’s what you really want.  I’m totally a solitaire girl so I can’t ever see myself resetting my rings into a halo or multi-stone ring.  And yes, with 4 prongs, I wanted really strong prongs so I’d never have to worry about the diamond coming loose. Omg, I totally hear you about the nails!  I used to do gel nails and then I did shellac…they totally killed my nails!  I’m still trying to revive them by going au naturel but they look awful!  But it’s the only way to get them healthy again.  πŸ™
